About the project:
The Park Hill Housing estate in Sheffield was originally constructed in during the 50s and 60s and gained grade 2 listed status in 1998, making it the largest listed building in Europe.
The restoration and refurbishment required to Park Hill Phase 2, now named Beton House was on a truly massive scale due to years of neglect as you can see from the before photo and required a large-scale investment to bring the structure back to life to provide student accommodation for the city’s growing university.
Bosa Contracts where instructed by Kier as Bosa could offer the full variety of specialist skills required for a project of this scale, everything from Surveys to Concrete Repairs, Brick stitching, Render and Waterproofing to name but a few, all lead by a dedicated onsite manager to ensure that works where completed to the highest standards, providing the building with a new bright lease of life.
The works where completed over a 14-month period, with over 3000 concrete repairs completed and over 15,000 brick ties.
Throughout the works Bosa received numerous positive comments and feedback from the client for our ability to work around problems and other trades in a flexible constructive manner to ensure both progress and quality was achieved.
