Tremco Car Park Deck Coatings, Bradford
This car park deck was tired and in need of refurbishment. The existing waterproof deck system had failed due to the poor profiling of the concrete substrate, coupled with this particular area of the car park being one of high wear. The uneven surface of the concrete substrate created peaks and troughs, which resulted in the old deck coating being applied unevenly and too thinly on the peaks leading to premature wear.
We were contracted to remove the old damaged deck coatings, even out the concrete substrate and re-apply new waterproof car park deck coatings to the entire car park deck including the stairs and ramp which lead to the fire escape.
Scope of works:
Removal of the damaged deck coatings, to the car park deck, fire escape ramp and stairs, an area of 170m2.
Fully prep the floors using Von-Ark floor Scabbler leaving the area flat in preparation for the new deck coatings.
Apply Tremco External MMA System ensuring all cracks/joints were banded with Tremco CP360 and fleece reinforcement.
Fully broadcast the area with quartz sand creating a non-slip finish.
Tremco CP930 was applied in various colours to finish the works.
Finally, we carried out concrete repair works to gullies and kerbs in the area.
